Bribery

A defendant is guilty of committing bribery once he or she offers or solicits a bribe.
  • Purpose need not be accomplished.
  • Bribe need not be actually paid.

    • lobbying on behalf of the person who gave money not an official act or vote
  • "Corruptly" offer or ask for an official action
